PHISH Project · Co-funded by the European Union

Promoting Cybersecurity and Helping the Vulnerable Stay Safe Online

Digital technology brings opportunity, convenience, and connection, but also new risks. PHISH helps elderly citizens and their caregivers learn how to recognise phishing, avoid online scams, and use the internet safely.

About the Project

Protecting Europe’s Digital Citizens

The PHISH Project is a European Union initiative dedicated to strengthening digital resilience. Through scenario-based education, we empower citizens to recognise and respond to online threats. Our multilingual platform makes critical cybersecurity knowledge accessible in English, German, Polish, and Dutch.

Modules

Ten practical modules

01

Learn to spot the warning signs of a phishing email — from fake sender addresses to suspicious links and attachments.

02

How scammers pose as tech support agents, and what to do when an unexpected caller asks for access to your device.

03

The missed-parcel text that asks for a small fee, and how to tell a real delivery notice from a fake one.

04

Checking a shop before you pay: the address bar, the contact details, the prices that are too good to be true.

05

When a friend or a company you follow is not who they say they are, and how to verify before you reply.

06

Building passwords that hold, keeping them somewhere safe, and turning on a second step for the accounts that matter.

07

The urgent update window that appears while you browse — why it is almost never real, and how to close it safely.

08

Giving with confidence: checking that a charity appeal is genuine before you share your card details.

09

What personal information is worth to a criminal, and the everyday habits that keep yours out of reach.

10

Using free Wi-Fi in a cafe, a hotel or an airport without exposing your accounts.
